Actually, you can half-ass this program and still get results. They might not be wow-factor results, but they are results. Any exercise is better than no exercise. I just went in with the understanding that I would not look exactly like the men who gave their all.
I purchased the P90X for the sole purpose of maintaining a healthy body weight and body fat percentage. It has worked very well, even though I put forth half of the effort. Am I ripped to the degree of someone who gave 110%? Absolutely not. But I am ripped, toned and slim.
I don't follow the diet either. The P90X diet is geared for those who want the most amazing results. I still eat healthy. My diet consists of brown rice, oatmeal, milk, beans, wheat bread, sardines, frozen vegetables and whole wheat pasta.
I think we need to encourage people to do the program at any intensity they desire.
